Biofoundry

Biofoundry is founded as part of the DIGIBIO Teaming project. It is the research and technology platform that helps to develop and accelerate the bioproduction of the next-generation biomaterials by utilizing the data-driven disruptive bioengineering solutions and AI technologies.

Biofoundry enables acceleration of the classical Design-Build-Test-Learn (DBTL) cycle by implementing automatization and AI technologies at every step. By implementing rapid, automated technologies, design of new production strains, methods for automated genome engineering, implementation of AI technologies for both analysis of the large datasets and pattern recognition on a genome scale would substantiality improve the speed of research and support creation of industrial cell factories for various applications.

Biofoundry aims to support all research groups within the Institute of Bioengineering, other institutions, and also private companies that would like to outsource the R&D or testing of novel products.
