University of Tartu Open Doors Day 2024

On the last day of February, the University of Tartu (UT) opened its doors for visitors from Estonia and abroad. We were happy to see so many talented young people being interested in studying at UT. Science & Technology (S&T) representatives led by program director Ilona Faustova engaged with high school students, their parents who were interested in our Bachelor’s program.

We were actively participating in various events during the Open Doors Day. Besides being present in the fair's main area, we also hosted the info-session dedicated to international students, and made the workshop and taught participants how to extract DNA from fruits. We also made a guided tour in the newly formed Institute of Bioengineering and showed visitors where scientists do the research and what machines and tools they use.

Overall it was a busy day full of people who are interested in studying at the University of Tartu.
